The Story: Strength meeting fragility. This intricate monochrome study captures the tender moment of hands cradling a blooming rose. It explores the balance between the weathered texture of human skin and the velvet softness of nature.

The Process: This piece was created using a sophisticated "grisaille" mixed-media technique. I began with a base of Copic alcohol ink to create a seamless, grain-free foundation. Over this, I applied many layers of Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils, burnishing the pigment to sculpt the fine lifelines of the palms and the deep, dramatic shadows of the rose. The result is a hyper-smooth, realistic finish that combines the depth of painting with the precision of drawing.
